Dion became a registered architect in 1991 and gained experience in reputable firms before founding his own practice in 1993. In 2003, he established dion seminara architecture as a sole director. Since then, the firm has flourished into one of Brisbane’s most trusted names in residential and boutique commercial design.
Early in his career, Dion led two significant projects: the renovation of Glentworth, a National Trust home (valued at $25M when adjusted for inflation), and a contemporary new build in Mt Nebo ($16M adjusted). He has also overseen select commercial and heritage projects, such as the restoration of Sts Peter & Paul’s Church in Bulimba and the design of a 12-storey apartment building in Coolangatta.
