Camp Hill Home Renovation & Addition

Working with Jan and Keith was an absolute pleasure, and we are so pleased to see they had gained so much livability from their new outdoor area extension and renovation.

This completed renovation in Camp Hill was commissioned to enhance the overall liveability of the existing home. Our clients reached out to dion seminara architecture as they sought a versatile outdoor space that could serve as a lounge and dining area, functional year-round. Additionally, the space needed to be large enough to include an outdoor kitchen and dining zone capable of comfortably hosting up to 24 guests. These lifestyle upgrades not only improved the functionality of the home but also enhanced the property’s charming streetscape.

Totally reimaging the home, we first relocated the front door to the side street and created a nook for the lounge creating greater street appeal as well as creating a more intimate living/lounge area.

The new external extension features an outdoor terrace seamlessly connected to an enclosed sunroom via bi-fold doors. This outdoor entertaining area, complete with a kitchenette, offers an immersive indoor-outdoor experience, perfect for alfresco dining while staying protected from the elements. A separate outdoor lounge creates a peaceful, private sanctuary for the family to enjoy throughout the year.

This project included completing extensive level changes to the back of the home as part of the design work to allow for a greater flow from the indoor to outdoor space.

We at dion seminara architecture were honoured to be recognised for our work on this project, receiving the 2017 Residential ArCH Design Excellence Selection award.
