Redcliffe Home Renovation

Project Summary

Redcliffe Home Renovation

This design is for a home renovation to pre-existing pre-1946 Queenslander in Redcliffe. The home was previously renovated but a lot of its former character was removed.

The objective of the new design was it bring back character and create additional amenities for a growing family in this Queenslander renovation. And a sub-tropical relaxation zone poolside with the re-creation of an existing shed into a poolside pavilion.

Other works included adding character back to the main living areas of the home and expanding the first floor. With a much better main bedroom, ensuite and parents retreat, and additional bedroom and near the secondary living area. All these spaces inspired by a Brisbane Hamptons Style interior selection.

The project once completed will tremendously change how the client uses the space. And additionally extend the life of the have to 20 plus years for my clients.

Award-Winning Design

ArCHomes Award

This home has been awarded the 2021 ArCH Design Excellence Selection award for Residential Architecture Design in the Renovation & Addition category.

2021 Jury comments:

“…the Architect managed to not only make a magic act out of the main floor level interior and exterior new features but also to enhance the curb appeal of the home with just a few deft strokes of imagination and wise experience, making it appear to be a much improved new house, which we’re sure, is welcome to the urban community. This illustrates WHY anyone contemplating a renovation would want to have a Licensed Architect designing their project. It shows how much improvement can be made with just a few expert brush strokes.”
