This Graceville home renovation will relocate the existing home to the back end of the property so that a new contemporary extension can be added to the front of the house.
Although this new addition will align with the existing home’s style, roof forms and external cladding materials will be used to give this space contemporary overtones.
The new extension will incorporate a large living /dining area, new fully covered deck, kitchen, and main bedroom with an ensuite and walk-in robe. Stairs will also lead visitors to its impressive new main entrance which will in-turn open up to a new internal staircase.
On the ground floor, we will build a new guest bedroom, bathroom, robe, living area, and kitchenette. This section of the home will also open up to a new lap pool (with a wading area) that will be uniquely shaped according to the specifications of our client. The existing house, on the other hand, will be renovated to contain at least three bedrooms, and the current bathroom and living area will remain untouched.
Large bi-fold doors will be used to line the enclosed verandah and will give our clients the ability to partially or fully open this space at will. This will provide our clients with an immersive indoor/outdoor home experience, which is perfect for relaxing or alfresco entertaining without any direct exposure to the elements. The rear add-ons to the house will also be removed.
At the front of the property, the existing landscaping will be tailored to create a private sub-tropical relaxation space. By redefining the landscape in this way, we will significantly improve the street appeal of the home. The improved scenery will also provide picturesque views for the deck and ground floor living space.
Finally, in order to make this property more eco-friendly, we will install a large 30,000-45,000 litre underground tank in the south-east corner of the property.
