Carina Heights New Luxury Home Design
About the project
Project summary
Having multiple generations living in the same home presents its fair share of design challenges, but the owners of this luxury Carina Heights home could not be happier.
This Carina Heights new luxury home design was intended to serve both the current and future generations of the family. This was done by being flexible enough to meet their ever-changing needs and to stand the test of time in terms of both functionality and style. Accommodating more than a traditional nuclear family, this Carina Heights new luxury home design needed to house extended family members together under the one roof.
Client Satisfaction Rating
The Brief
Privacy is an issue with so many extended family members living in the same home. Careful consideration needs to be given to the shared spaces and personal areas alike.
The design is across three levels with the owners requiring kitchen and dining areas capable of servicing almost 30 people. Storage was another major consideration as was the need to have an eye-catching streetscape.
The Outcome
The owners could not have been happier with the outcome. Three large bedrooms, each with ensuites, cater for the extended family. While the master bedroom features an expansive ensuite, study and ‘his and hers’ wardrobes. The basement level houses a home gym, additional bathroom and car accommodation for up to 6 vehicles.
Technology and sustainability complement each other perfectly in this home which won the 2016 CEDIA Best Integrated Home Worldwide Award. Thanks in part to an integrated control system that allows windows to be open and shut remotely as well as monitoring power resources.

Originally from Western Australia, our clients moved to North Lakes and set down their roots in a local community with the most up to date facilities. They had made new friends and planned on staying long-term in their home, but desired a resort-style ambience that could turn their project home into an oasis for their family and their friends.
