About the project
Project Summary
This project involved reimagining an existing home with a Palm Springs–inspired style, featuring arched concrete walls, a new entry, and a streamlined roof form.
The ground floor was reconfigured to improve flow, relocating the kitchen to connect with the terrace and pool, introducing a study, bar, upgraded laundry, and repositioned garage.
Upstairs, new extensions created walk-in robes and private ensuites for every bedroom, while the master suite was expanded into a luxurious retreat.
Energy-efficient glazing, insulation, and shading ensure comfort and performance, blending bold street presence with modern family living.

Client’s needs
The Design Brief
The design brief centred on creating a home that would grow and adapt with the family over time. For the Wellington Point residence, the clients wanted to preserve the character of their bayside home while introducing modern comfort, improved functionality, and spaces that could support them as they aged in place. This called for flexible layouts, generous circulation, and accessible features to ensure ease of movement and long-term liveability. Key priorities included strengthening the connection to outdoor living and the coastal setting, providing ample storage for family needs, and integrating energy-efficient measures to future-proof the home.
