Many renovations are done to increase the liveability and visual appeal of the home. And certainly the renovations we have created over the years have added real value both personally for the occupants but also financially, as is the case with this beautiful renovation and extension.
The exterior of the home, whilst practical when it was built, had come to look dated. So a major objective for this renovation was to improve the streetscape.
An outdoor pool entertaining area and deck extension were also key parts of the project.
The home is almost unrecognisable from its former self. The streetscape has been dramatically enhanced, giving the home a fresh, contemporary feeling. At the rear of the home the extended deck overlooks the gorgeous inground pool which has become a feature of this beautiful home.
Project Number 010402
In a sea of project homes surrounding the local golf course, a contemporary, streamlined roof breathes new life into the area with its newly created entertainment area design.
Originally from Western Australia, our clients moved to North Lakes and set down their roots in a local community with the most up to date facilities. They had made new friends and planned on staying long-term in their home, but desired a resort-style ambience that could turn their project home into an oasis for their family and their friends.
Client Satisfaction Rating
We have been meaning for some time now to put in writing our appreciation and thanks for Dion’s creative but yet very practical architectural input to the renovations that we undertook at our home during the latter half of 2001. We continue to be amazed at the practicality of the design. We are so pleased with what has been achieved. Dion took an ordinary brick box and created a modern, contemporary styled home suited to the lifestyle we envisaged, namely, comfortable living and entertaining, both indoors and outdoors. We are grateful to Dion for that.
In short, our experience with Dion Seminara as our architect and the subsequent activity of our renovations have been most enjoyable and successful, a situation which is not always the case, if one is to believe “conventional wisdom” and anecdotes about designing and building a house.
