Project Summary
Brookfield Hamptons Renovation
This design is for a home renovation located in Brookfield. The brief for our Brisbane architects included, updating the exterior of the property to appeal to the clients’ contemporary character style.
The house built in the 80/90’s had a slight federation look and feel. Our clients liked this style and want to enhance, modernise. And create better indoor-outdoor space with much better interior spaces.
Our clients wished to add a Hamptons style feel to the interior, whilst still retaining the home’s multi generational living arrangements.
The home housed 4 generations of family, and as such needed a robust design methodology in order to create a property which was accommodating to the differing needs of all the residents.
Amongst other changes, dion seminara architecture achieved the intended goals by creating:
- A new outdoor entertainment area and living space, complete with a fireplace and exposed trusses to help achieve the desired Hamptons look.
- A dual living space redone to create a space suitable to house the client’s son and his young family.
- Tiling in the main house terrace.
- Millboard around the pool.
- Enhanced pergola area.
- And many more changes!
Overall, the end result is an acreage property which includes 3 buildings, 4 generations of a lovely family, and an emphasis on connection to nature.
The revised property included a new colour scheme, a farmhouse + Hamptons aesthetic, and suitable solutions for all of the client’s desired outcomes.
In summary – the end outcome was a home which met the client’s aesthetic preferences, and will provide a suitable place for the 4 generations, and their much loved pets, to live both now and in the future!
