Originally designed in 2007 for an Indooroopilly 1960’s home, this outdoor room was part of a much larger renovation and provided an indoor/outdoor deck used for family and friend entertaining during the clients’ retirement years. The outdoor room featured insect-proof screening to allow year-round enjoyment and comfort. The room also connected and opens up to the backyard.
Connecting this outdoor room with the kitchen and dining meant created exceptional indoor/outdoor flow and connections, that made cooking and entertaining a breeze. Bi-part sliding windows connected the indoor kitchen benches with the outdoor space, adding to the easy-to-use space. With a dedicated BBQ area, the clients could truly live outside and take advantage of their beautiful surroundings.
With contemporary, modern styling and a Japanese flare, this renovation was truly one of a kind, and was featured on Best Houses Australia as well as won the 2016 ArCHomes Residential Architecture Award for its exceptional design.
