Dion Seminara – Principal (Architect)
Dion is an award winning architect with over 20 years of practical industry experience in design and construction. He is recognised as a highly qualified industry professional who delivers innovative design solutions for his clients.
After working for a number of reputable Brisbane based architectural firms, Dion commenced private practice in 1993. In this time he completed two major residential landmark projects – Glentworth, a $6.5 million renovation to a National Trust house and the well-known $4 million contemporary new home at Mt Nebo.
In 2003 Dion founded dion seminara architecture, also known as dsarchitecture. His expertise with residential design, with an emphasis on renovations of character homes, has earned him a reputation as one of Brisbane’s residential architecture, interior and landscape specialists.
Dion is also a Licensed Home and General Building Contractor.
Stephen graduated from Queens University in Belfast with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master’s Degree in Architecture in 2012. Stephen worked for Dion in 2012 for 6 months whilst on a working holiday visa. Stephens’s time with dsarchitecture was so successful that Dion brought Stephen back for a permanent role on a full visa.
Stephen has experience in both residential and commercial sectors, having worked in the UK and Australia. Stephen also has hands on site and labour experience allowing him to fully understand the building process.
Stephen is passionate about all areas of architecture and is enjoying learning the different ways architecture is used in Australia. With his bubbly personality and can do attitude Stephen is a real asset to the dsarchitecture team.
Lee Anchor is a graduate of QUT and holds degrees in both Architecture (2006) and Interior Design (1998) and obtained her architectural registration in 2008. Lee‘s previous experience includes working for the State Government as well as internationally recognized architectural firms.She has worked on a variety of projects which involved in design, consult, procure and schedule of finishes. These included cultural, heritage listed. multi-residential, townhouse, housing, car showrooms, commercial office fitouts, the Coffee Club Restaurants, Westpac Banks, age Care/ medical Clinics, education facilities and a hallmark Project: Suncorp Stadium redevelopment at Lang Park.
Lee is passionate about all facets of architecture & interior work. She has great strengths in research, drafting skills, attention to detail and understanding various construction processes. This has allowed her to bring and produce coherent & accurate architectural documentation. Her experience as an Interior Designer has allowed her to gain skills in developing many concepts and layouts. This includes addressing functional requirements as well as providing appropriate finishes and colour selections to suit various clients.
Megan has graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Architectural Design. While studying she participated in a university exchange program studying for a semester at the University of Massachusetts. This allowed her to combine her passion for travel with her passion for architecture. She was also able to undertake an environmental building design course to continue her learning of passive design in architecture.
She has worked on several residential projects and character houses including renovations, extensions, new homes and outdoor living spaces. Megan assists the dsarchitecture team with her drafting skills in several CAD programs.
Jessika is a soon to be graduate from the UQ Business School with majors in marketing and international business. She has a varied role within the dsarchitecture office from handling all of our marketing needs to keeping the office running with numerous administration tasks. Jessika’s previous marketing experience comes from numerous industries’ including finance and accounting, mining technology and hospitality marketing.
Jess is passionate about all forms of marketing and communications and really enjoys keeping us current on all social media platforms. Her friendly voice is the one you often hear answering our phones and she is usually the first face you’ll see when visiting the dsarchitecture office. Keep smiling Jess!
Leesa Seminara – Landscape Designer
With a passion for creating garden designs that provide additional living areas, Leesa’s skill and expertise in landscape design will add the finishing touches to your custom new home build or renovation. Her services can also be engaged for an independent project.
Our focus is on enhancing our clients’ lives through better design rather than winning awards. But we have still won a few of them.
